Just wondering if TT come prewired for back up lights. I was wondering if I could just buy new taillights with built in reverse lights and install them, without running wire.

Your 7 pin plug has a wire for backup lights, but I'm pretty sure you have to run the wireing from the plug to the bumper! Yellow.

My 87 Shasta has backup lights built into the tail lights. I even wired in a second 3 prong plug to the trailer harness so I could flip on the backup ligths if needed and be able to manually activate the brakes when pushing it around using the front hitch. The shop that installed the brake controller ran an extra wire from the brake controller to terminate near the front hitch with the matching 3 prong plug and I tapped in my swicth to activate the backup lights.
