I know this may be hard to find now adays, BUT, I am looking for some heavily wooded campgrounds in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, or Eastern Arkansas areas. We live in Memphis and love to camp but like wooded campgrounds.

Thanks,
J

Check out Piney CG or Canal CG in the Land Between the Lakes. Not a lot of undergrowth between sites, but lots of shade in most loops. Beautiful location!

Try Ozark National Forest near Helena, AR. There are two campgrounds and both are wooded; we like Bear Creek. Fising for bream can be spectacular in mid-may at Bear Creek Lake. Also, Crowley's Ridge State Park near Paragould, AR, or Waldron, AR, is also quite nice. It, too, is one of our favorites.

All the Tennessee state parks in our area are wooded. Chickasaw, Natchez Trace, Pickwick, etc.
