I need some strong positive thoughts sent my way for tomorrow afternoon. I have a job interview in Salem with the Department of Human Services. The interview is a panel interview and I am no good at them. They freak me out, one or two people are bad enough, but you put a whole panel, EeeeeeK!!!!!!!!
If you all would be willing send some positive thoughts my way. Thanks ahead of time.

Ah, don't let them get to you. They just want to see if you are a good fit for the job and you want to see if they're a good fit as an employer.

I've gone on enough interviews to know that if you have confidence in yourself, then the rest will fall in place. Once I interviewed and had no real desire for a new job and had nothing to lose. I was just fate that they had my resume and then they called to talk me into an interview. I told them how wonderful I was and tooted my own horn. I wound up with a job that paid 20K more than I was currently making.

Mandrake you crack me up with some of the comments you post.

Craig,
what are we going to do with you. It is not the humans that freak me out it is the panel they make up, and the microscope you feel as if your sitting under.
I actually feel really good about this interview, and think I will be fine, but a little extra good thoughts from my friends couldn't hurt.

instead of it feeling like YOU are under the microscope, try to think THEY are the ones under the microscope, maybe that will help good luck!!!!!!!

Okay - I worked for them....don't let them get to you. Just take deep breaths before the interview, admit to them that you're nervous (amazing how compassionate you get -- they also then know it's nerves and not your normal state), and GET names! I want to know who interviews you! Which department?

Got'cha in my prayers.

Look at one person at a time and imagine he/she is the only hone in the room talking to you.

Like Dee says: tell them how nervous you are.
