See the manager/owner of the dealership. Tell him you will give them a 100% satisfaction report "when " you are 100% satisfied.
I am always suspicious of dealers wanting 100% reports upfront as probably they have had bad reports in the past and have been warned by the manufacturer and the dealer principal to improve. So employees are on edge and when they make mistakes try and cover them up.

I guess this is a lesson to those who buy sight unseen to get a "good deal"...

I won't even ask what the MSRP of the unit was and what you paid because that might add more fuel to the fire but let this be a lesson not to trust anyone when you are shelling out $$$$ like that.
I wondered about that too, $8,000 off MSRP means they paid more than the original owner paid and way more than they should have for a used unit.

If the engine is an ISL the first service is not due until 18,000 miles the Transmission would have been due at service at 5000 miles.

Johnny:
According to the latest Allsion Service Tips (1099F) the new Allisons don't require the 5,000 mile service as per my previous post. In the Service Tip is the serial number that this started at. The OP's rig is an '08 so it may be a later unit that doesn't require the one filter to be changed.

something is a little fishy here, this is a "used" unit but they are having you send in the owner satisfaction report to manufacturer? This should have been done by the ORIGINAL purchaser when supposedly first sold! you don't have the true representation on this RV !!! was it a wreck? demo? repo? drowned? not trying to scare you but you have to research this and get the truth, you may wan't to legally undo this deal when you find all the facts.

Ok, the deal is done, mark it up to education move on and enjoy your new MH. Most on here think they could have got a better deal, nobody likes it when a salesman or the service manager flat out lie's to them but it happens. Talk to the owner may get the satelite dome installed. Good luck!!

I sure don't understand the part about a non refundable $5K deposit and having to wait for three people in front of you to view the coach. What happened to their deposit? Didn't it occur to you that something was wrong when they walked away? I would have been on my way home to cancel the check. This situation is either 99% your making or...........

maybe I don't have the facts all correct. Where is the original poster? Is this post fact of fiction? I ain't buyin' it.....

Dead on! Sort out all the advise given by our knowledgeable forum members and it comes down to one thing - you were mislead and flat out lied to. Sending the money may not have the wisest thing to do but takes a back seat to being lied to. If in fact this is a used unit the report to Winnie is long since been sent - if it were me I would be on the phone to Winnebago tomorow. Buyer beware only goes so far - then it becomes almost criminal.

I'm with these 2. Why on earth would a "used" '08 be traded already. Unless there was a really good and believeable story behind it I'd be a bit leary. Oh well...too late now. As was said earlier, load it up and enjoy it! The past is past.

Info on the transmission service can be found here.

The above references this statement. So you will need to find out if you have the high capacity filter. NOTE: An initial 5,000-mile filter change interval is required for all New, ReTranĀ®, and Overhauled transmissions unless you are using a high-capacity filter. For more information, refer to the Initial Filter Change Interval Recommendation Chart.
You can get the serial number of your transmission from Freightliner 800-385-4357, then go here and input the serial number to get information on your transmission.

Good luck with the new motorhome, We enjoy our Vectra.

Ouch!!

If you weren't happy - I would tell the truth to them (the dealer first) and see if they make it right. If not, then tell Winnie about it.

There is no harm in telling the truth!
