Go to Thedieselstop for 6.0 info.

The CPS recall is on the 7.3l only.

Stop, and quick ability to restart is electrical. Stop and ability to restart only after cooldown is HPOP. Edge modules haven't got the best reputation on 6.0l. Expect some grief from some people over that.

Had a fuel pump go bad and do the same thing. Took a year to track down. Every time I had it in the shop it worked fine. Finally plugged a computer module in and left it until it acted up again and they had it fixed in a day.

I'm new here but I do know about these trucks somewhat. Please take the Edge off before you bring the truck in. Ford WILL void your warrenty for good. Like others have said, you have a electrical problem. Check yours wires for chaffing or nicks. Also if your edge can read fault codes you can check for stored codes if its not a wire short.

No, and since I sold my 6.0 PSD the 6.0 PSD problems don't bother me anymore.

The Edge Kit was taken off while waiting for a tow truck. Truck started up right away after removing it.

HOWEVER.. I made it less than 1 Mile before it stopped again.

Ford Dealer is not getting any error codes from the vehicle and of course it is starting up again consistently.

I don't run the truck with the EDGE setto the highest setting. I mainly use it for hte digital guages that shows me EGT and Transmission temp. may have to just put a couple guages on the truck to manually monitor this an go back to a stock truck.

Thanks to all for replying.

The 6.0L PSD in my work truck did this. It was the injector wiring harness on top of the engine.

When this occured for me, the water in fuel light would come on, and the engine would die. Sometimes it would restart right away, sometimes not. Even did it after the OEM wiring harness was replaced by the recall. Ford dealer had to fix chaffing on replacement wiring harness to get it to stop.

No error codes here either.

I think I saw a TSB referencing a fitting on the HPOP. It's a 'quick connect' fitting that leaks when engine is hot (lower viscosity) resulting in lower pressure and engine shut down. When cool the engine will start again. I believe this was for 2005 and above. Warranty will cover it.
