You are getting way to excited about the truck the dealer has.
If your build sheet says it will have the fancy mirrors and this particular truck doesn't have them, then obviously the truck isn't yours. Wait until yours arrives, or tell the dealer to put on this truck what you ordered and are paying for.

If the door panel has to be replaced they will probably have to order it. My guess is that you will go to the dealer tomorrow and drive home in your new truck with a due bill for replacing the mirrors with the correct ones. When the parts come in they will call you and schedule an appointment to get them swapped out. I don't know your dealer but I also don't think you will have any problems with it.

Ya, funny how that works.... before you sign they will offer you the world, next day after you bought it, they will pass you off to service or someone else.

I just got a new F450 last week with the power tele. mirrors.
I would NEVER want to have truck without them. And, like the others have said, don't leave the dealership without getting them (or a written agreement for the dealer to provide them).
You can live without the truck easier than you can live without these mirrors - they are literally lifesavers IMO.
Are you sure they are not folding as I do not think the option for power extend only is used.Mine fold and the switch is the same switch you use to adjust the angles of the mirrors, just pull it aft and release and the mirrors fold in do it again and the mirrors go out.Good luck
All above have been good ideas but consider this, you can take this snafu to the bank if you wish. The dealer now sits on a fairly specialzed special order truck, truck sales are slowwww, why not make this error to your cash advantage? True you will have to manually move the mirrors, if you can live with that you could do alright here. Just an idea, good luck.
I just got mine, withOUT the power folding mirrors. I wish I would have got them. Doing something like pulling up to an ATM, you gotta pull those big honkin mirrors in, running through a car wash you should pull them in.
Stand your ground, good luck, and keep us posted.
P.S. Ninebell, I'll have to check mine, maybe mine does the same as yours. What year is yours? What Job #?
As long as you stick to your guns the dealer will make it right. 20 years ago my oldest son ordered a new Camero w/t-tops option, after waiting for it to be built it came without the T-tops. The dealer got him another one w/T-tops.
Well nothing is certain yet but it looks like Ford is going to replace the mirrors with the ones that I ordered. I have not accepted the truck and the dealer is very understanding. They need to get approval from Ford headquarters to pay but I think it is going to work out.
