On my TT the roof just seems like its got lots of large uneven bubbles. Like the company just skipped the rubber cement process.
bubbles in the roof are pretty common and usually don't mean anything. We have a few on ours - doesn't bother us. As long as the roof/ceiling area around the bubble isn't mushy like there's a water leak. bubbles are normal
bubbles don't mean anything as previously said but you said big and that may not be normal, but I don't know how to define big...
there are places that the glue generally won't hold as well as others... usually where the wood seams are and where it is pulled over the edges... there could be some random bubbles also... as with every thing on these things they don't spend the time you or I might, and even if they did some of this would be considered normal...
as for cleaning I would follow the mfg recommendations closely on products and understand not many products are good for your roof even if they seem to work well... petroleum distillates come in many forms and may not use the word petroleum in the description...
it is recommended they be cleaned... however while not cleaning may or may not reduce black streaks, mold and mildew can be a problem from not washing...
