Bill H thats the best idea I have heard on here in a while. I am going to paint my Champion red and stick a Honda logo on it. I think I will call it a "Chonda" The logo will drop it 10db and I still saved $1600 over two Honda 2000's.

If you bought it and it was advertised as having a warranty, when in fact the mfg was already bankrupt, then you have every right to expect a refund if you want to return it. You are not blaming Home Depot but they did sell a product with a mis-represented warranty.
Nothing wrong about returning it for that reason that I see??
But like others have said, if it works well...............
