just finished installing prodigy controller for new TV and TT.

Our TT stealer is going to set-up both TV&TT&BC....

My question is, right now the controller shows 2 dots....which i think is correct when nothing is hooked up. SHould I un-plug the controller when not in use?(will I shorten its life span??) or just leave it plugged in.

I did a search for this , couldn't fine anything, sorry.

Just leave it plugged in. After 15 minutes or so of inactivity, it will turn itself off.

Mine has been plugged in since I installed it. Two dots means power on and boost set. The lights will go out after +- 15 min. if you don't touch the brake pedal.
I'd mount it securely and leave it in.

I agree, that class of device the life span is so long that it won't matter to you if you leave it plugged in or not. Might take a decade off it's life, but when you have something that can outlast your grandkids... What's a decade more or less (nothing)

I asked this same question when I got mine. It has been plugged in and forgotten since, only adjusted occasionally.

Mine was plugged in for the two years we had it until we upgraded TT & TV.

I hope it's safe to leave a Prodigy plugged in all the time. Mine's been plugged in constantly since I put it in a year and a half ago!

ours is also plugged in. We originally had 2 red dots lit, but now only one. Could there be a problem, or is one just burned out. Prodigy still works pulling the 5th wheel..any comments? Thanks Dona
