Good Luck! And don't despair too much about not being called back right away. It is the Government you're talking about. I agree with some of the posters above that they do not always want the "most" qualified on paper. That is why they have interviews. If you got an interview, you have a chance.

Tam -- I know Randy ....he's a great guy. You may feel like an underachiever.....however, maybe those people were running on and on and on and not really saying anything. My take from just what you said, I probably would have thought "oh good grief, an over-TALKER"...heh heh heh (kinda like me) Hang in there.........

I know that is what I thought, especially the one girl sitting next to me. I had to sit there and keep a strait face, that was not easy. You could tell that after Linda Riddle waved her hand the first time for time, she was a little frustrated when the girl kept going on. She let her go about another min. then frantically waved to give the girl a sign again.
I am really looking forward to my interview with the Marine Board. I think I would rather have that job. After getting the job announcement, honestly it sounds more along the line of the one I would enjoy the most. It is listed under the Mandatory Education/Information Program. It seems to cover a lot of the things I enjoy doing, public contact, data entry, training, ordering supplies, local travel for meetings, and statewide travel with occasional overnight stays. All of the requirements to qualified are things I have done in one form or another. I will just have to wait and see on any or all of the positions I am interviewing for.

I have faith that when the right position comes along, the Dear Lord will be there for me to help me pull out what I need to get that postion. He has blessed me in many ways, and I have no fear that he will again, when it is right.
