Not quite...It has two different 2nd gears depending on if you're upshifting thru the gears, or downshifting when passing or climbing a hill...Still only 5 gears...

Splitting hairs, I admit...
It doesn't "have" 6 speeds, it just creates 2 different 2nd gears as programmed.
For instance...My Ford ranger was a 5 speed, but it had no more gear sets then the 4 speed it replaced, but because the trans is now electronically controlled, the PCM was re-programmed to run OD on top of the 2nd gear gear set to create a "3rd" gear, and would then shift to the normal 3rd gear, but this would now be 4th gear and of course OD was still the top gear, but was now "5th"...
