I don't know if I would classify it as scenic but Claybough's in Pigeon Forge is a very nice campground that meets the other criteria. Has full hook ups, lots of trees and fairly spacious. You can check out their WEB site here www.claboughcampground.com

Why not stay at Punkin Center. It caters to bikers. The "tail" was heavily patrolled in 2007. Better pay heed to the lowered speed limit.

Try www.ironhorsec.com, It is Iron Horse motorcycle Lodge right by the Dragon. They have a real nice full hookup campground and they cater to bikers. Wife and I are going there in June with the toy hauler and bike.

We like Tremont Hills Campground in Townsend TN. It's a 30 minute drive from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, but there's much less traffic. You can get on the Foothills Parkway in Townsend, which is a shortcut over to the Dragon. Be sure and ride on the Cherohala Skyway while you are there. It's a beautiful ride. Indian Boundary campground is located ON the Cherohala Skyway. We've stayed there before and rode bikes to the Dragon. Tellico Plains is also a nice town with a KOA campground. Located at the end of the Cherohala Skyway. The town is very bike friendly.

Yep. It seemed there was a Trooper on every other curve when we were there. But then it was only a week after several got killed on the Dragon. If I remember correctly. They 2 were on a Trike, and missed a curve, and went between a TV and boat. Another just went off the side. They decided to crack down.

Be aware. After you ride the Dragon. You can go to the website, and see/buy pictures of you riding on it. Kind of strange though, That they would name the website. Killboy.com

BTW. We rode over from Cherokee NC. Not far.
