We are headed to Land Between the Lakes in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know about flooding there? The Weather person out of St. Louis says be prepared for a long wet Spring, I didn't like the sound of that!

It has been real dry over the Tennesse Valley over this pass year. Most all the lakes are below normal in elevation. TVA can store a lot of water upstream of Ky Lake. I doubt flooding will be a concern for you.

We went through LBL late last week. Both lakes are at conservation level, and the Tennessee and Cumberland river watersheds have not received excessive rain yet this spring.

We came from eastern Oklahoma, where we camped through a 6 inch rainfall in 24 hours, and had to add 100 miles of detours around flooded streams in southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas, to get to Tennessee. Those floodwaters are just now receding, and the Mississippi is rising.

So, Land Between the Lakes is fine, just now. That can change in less than 24 hours, all it would need is for the Tennessee Valley or Ohio Valley to get dumped on.

We camped at Piney campground in LBL last weekend. The courtesy dock and fishing pier was closed due to high water. The Water was high but not on the campgrounds. You should be fine. It is a beautiful campground. Have a great time.

As of today, things are looking great here on the east side of LBL, and unless this next front dumps big on us, all of LBL campgrounds should be fine.
