Will check with Monaco but what is an oil recommendation for a 400ISL Cummins?

Cummins says a diesel quality 15w40. I use Delo 400. You can use synthetic if you want but Cummins says that doesn't allow an increase in change intervals unless you have the oil analyzed. The engine will last 300,000 miles with dino oil so I don't see any benefit.
Cummins makse the engine, not Monaco so I follow the Cummins recommendations.

Hey Texan, how much a gallon does it cost? Been running Delo 400, 15W-40 for a long time but have thought about synthetic.

Delo also makes a synthetic blend in 15-40.

If you are doing the oild and filters on a proper, regular basis you wont gain anything by going to a SYN oil in these larger motors. SMALL engine..different story ORRR..if you live somewhere that you HAVE TO start and run the engine in a COLD climate.

I DID switch my genset ( Kubota engine) this last year from dino fat to SYN ( 5W-40) and also use the same in my small Kubota tractor...both of which I "use" in the winter for various reasons.

I use Delo 15W-40 in the RV...Rotella 5W-40 in the Kubota engine stuff.
