I made it into Mississippi a few days ago. I'm visiting some people at a small horse riding school in Brandon MS. I will be here a few more days. I think I am going into Texas this coming Wednesday. I've been a little anxious to get West for some reason. I will however try and make a few stops in Texas, maybe a pecan farm, that would be the best. Does anyone know any good mechanics along the way to California that would be able to help work on my engine in exchange for some advertising on my website? I'm really looking for a replacement engine, diesel instead of gas but that's probably never going to happen. One more question, does anyone know any dog breeders? I'm looking to get a small dog, short hair and under 10 pounds. www.purple53.com

Thanks for the update Angel but you may consider posting under your initial thread to keep your story together so your new post have some context and more meaningful to the new readers that do not know your whole story.

I can't think of anyone that would do about $10,000.00 worth of engine/transmission swap for an ad on your website. You might be able to find someone to do a small amount of work on your vehicle in exchange for ad, your odds would be higher if you have non-profit status and then they could deduct donation of time or money.

But the other title didn't fit. Can you edit titles on here. I didn't check.

hi akissz,

I hope you can edit the title. I'm interested in following the chronicles of the Purple53!

Cheers,

Yes on editing because I used the wrong word in a title. The OP can edit both the title and the text.

I have no doubt I will find an engine and it will be amazing!

Wow, after driving a little over 400 miles I made it into Terrell Texas last night around 830pm so it took me about 10 hours to drive. I think this might be the longest one-day drive that I've done in Purple53. The Wildlife Rescue Farm / Eco-Ed Environmental Training Center I'm visiting is really great, they have peacock, chicken, bobcat, mini goat, snake, armadillo, horse, dog, and raccoon. I got to hold a week old baby raccoon that were rescued from the wall of someone's house the same day I arrived. If you want to check out the farm I’m at here is their website www.xtimbers-ranch.com -I hope to be posting lots of good photos soon on my website www.purple543.com -I will be in Terrell Texas for 3 or 4 days.

Hey I made it to Southern California 3 days ago. It's actually not going that well yet. I'm having engine troubles and also having a hard time making contacts here in southern California. I'm hoping I can find a farm/homestead I can volunteer at for the summer. On another note, tune your TV this weekend to CNN Headline News because they are featuring me and my purple53 project on the News To Me show, both Saturday and Sunday, Eastern Time at 730pm 930pm and 1230am
