I just took my DP for a ride and kept it the speed under 55mph.....seems my mileage jumped from 7.4 to 8.5.
Anyone else test this lately?
I hear the 18 wheelers are slowing down too.
One thing for sure....it seemed to be slow, compared to my usual 65mph, I felt like my grandmother driving

2cyber71,
I do not know yet how much it will change my mileage but I have about 8000 miles to drive before August and plan on slowing down to 55 - 57 mph and see if it will improve my mpg. I am sure that it has to help some. I will let you know as soon as I get enough miles to know the results. I normally drive in the 65 mph range so my difference may not be as much as yours.

I was out on the road today and did notice that some 18 wheelers were running 65 and below on I-75. Not all of them for sure but a significant number.

Being a mostly 'double nickel' driver, I do not go much slower (or faster) on the Interstate highways. The few times I have needed to and gone faster for a distance, the mileage was MUCH worse!!

YES! Trying to keep it down to 60 (1600 RPMs in 6th gear). Hard to do in S. California.

No, but I'm watching the Weather channel to see when I'm going to have a tail wind. Ended up in DC when I wanted to go to Kansas City.

Always have driven between 55 and 65, 7.1 to 7.3 average all over the USA dragging the Liberty. Haven't noticed any truck slowing down, just keep blowing by me like I am standing still. Safe Travels. Kevin & Alexis
