Edit...

A friend of mine here didn't have a break in, just a bucket and funnel that was outside stolen last year. Maybe $5 of stuff total. A couple days later I happened to see that same bucket and funnel being used by another camper in the park to fill 1 gallon water jugs... --cut

... You see, that same exact bucket and funnel was used to empty a port a potty a couple times a week for at least 6 months previously.

That's excellent!!!

Winter of 2007 in Ft. Meyer's at Cyprus Woods thieves borrowed a ladder and stole about eight purses from motor homes that left the windows open at night rather than using the AC units. They used a fishing rod and reached in through the window and lifted the purses out.

This one really took a lot of nerve. Our RV club was at a rally in Berea KY last summer and someone used a hacksaw blade to unlock a window in one of our members coach and crawled in and opened every closet and cabinet doors and took the wife's purse while they were asleep. One of the guys found the purse on the next street and all that was missing was the cash. They had pulled a picnic table up to another coach but someone must have scared them off as they didn't get in that one. Both coaches are Travel Supreme's.

Bet that was the same "masked bandit" that stole my chocolate cake!!! Did the theft occur in the Ozarks??

You know what else is a sign to the bad guys? The 82nd Airborne flag flying over my RV.

That same little &^%$#@ gets around, he stole my bag of marshmallows one night up here in Ontario.

I have never had anything stolen in 15 years of camping.

2 years ago at Infineon raceway all of us were in at the track. We only had the tent trailer with bag awning and add-a-room. Put it all together and you had a pretty nice size unit. Anyway while we were away a young guy on a bicycle came to our site and entered the add-a-room. A older lady camping across from us saw him and when we got back she told us abut him. About 20 minutes later he came riding by and she signaled to me that it was him so I ran out and stopped him and questioned him. He denied everything so I told him to his face that I was calling the track security and talking with the always patrolling sheriff about him. not sure if security or the sheriff ever caught up to him as we never asked. No one in our area ever saw the guy again. It was nice realizing that someone was watching out for me and my stuff just as much as I was looking out for the others around me. We now have a friend at the track from the experience. We call the lady "granny". I don't remember or dare to call her by her real name. Just granny.
