Spring Creek RV Park is IN Plano,TX. It is not great, but it is near.

It is on the east side of the highway, and is difficult to reach with a lot of construction going on, at least when we were there.

COE park at Lake Lavon is not too far. The one near Wylie would be closest.(East Fork Park)

You may , but Spring Creek is the best, by far. If you can get a site.

Spring Creek RV is certainly the most convenient. Located on US75 right in the middle of Plano. South end is regular RV park, north end is mobile home park. Not that difficult to get to with the right directions.
Lavon would be prettier, but certainly not as convenient if you will be going back and forth, especially during rush hours.

Does Lavon and Spring Creek have hookups and take dogs?

We have children and grandchildren in Plano and travelled from GA to Texas in December to visit them. We stayed at Lighthouse RV park in Melissa/McKinney, Texas. It was 15 miles from Plano right off 75 and it was a very nice park. They give a Good Sam discount and the weekly rate was $198. Monthly was $400 and you pay the electric. We considered Spring Creek as it was closer but the sites are very tight and getting into and out of the park can be very dangerous due to the traffic and lack of visibility due to trees and bushes. Some say that crime in the Spring Creek park is a problem but I have no first hand esperience on that issue. Lighthouse RV Resort's phone number is (972) 838-4600 or (800) 844-2196. You might check them out they are listed in Woodalls also.

When we were there last year Lavon had water and electric with dump. I think they were adding sewer in some areas. Pets are like all COE parks.
