One of my brakes won't adjust. The star wheel I don't think is turning the adjustment. I see no threads on the adjustment to adjust the brake like the other 3 wheels have. Any solutions to unfree this up. I tried going up with the brake tool and going down and niether is doing nothing.

It may have opened all the way and you may need new brake shoes. Open it up and take a look. JMHO

If you don't see any threads on one half of the adjuster rod, that would indicate to me that it's screwed all the way "in" and has to go the other way to expand the brake shoe diameter. Your brake spoon tool may be just sliding off the star wheel adjuster, the two pieces of the adjuster may be seized together.

It could be that the last guy who put the brakes in didn't center the adjuster, or maybe the threads are jammed.
Adjusting the brakes is like life...down & out. Down on the star wheel moves the shoes out.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

So I guess I should lift up on the brake spoon?

I have had this happen on my towed a few times.. THE ONLY solution is to disassemble the brakes and replace the adjusters You might be able to do a temp fix by taking it apart, clamping in a vice and using heat and force, but you are going to want to replace them.. .Thankfully, they are not expensive as a rule.

If the threads are not showing about how many turns up before I start seeing threads because I just went and did about 15 turns up and nothing still happened.
