We have a Eagle 278FBS. We use a Barker. It has worked well.

i just installed the Barker 3500 VIP and it was a simple job. The only issue I ran into was the distance to the battery (wire). Its on but there was only about three inches to spare.

cheers

I'd get one that goes up and down when you push the button. They're kind of a "one size fits all" item. If it raises and lowers your trailer that all you can expect. If it doesn't it's totally useless. Most any 3500 lb. capacity jack will do as well as any other. Good luck / Skip

Skip gets that way sometimes . Most here seem to prefer the Barker 3500lb unit. With a 1400lb TW I would get as large a model as I could.

I use a Barker 3000lb model, If I do it again I would buy the
3500 Lb Model just to have a little cushion. I would suggest
you get one with "elecric limit swiches" which stops the jack's
motor when it reaches either extreme position. I had my jack
partially fail because I sometimes ran it to it's limits and
the jack I have had no mechanical over ride clutch so would make
a loud noise and finally it would be somewhat noisy all the time
and I replaced the screw mechanism.
According to the parts list, Barker apparently makes a model with
the electrical limit switches.

We had an Ultra-Fab 3002 on our Prowler (3000 pound). I took it off last week when we traded it in. The time we had it on there I was happy with it. Made all that up and down during hook up a lot easier.

We have the Barker 3000. Our North Trail has a 500# tongue weight and in order to get our Blue Ox Sway Pro hooked up, we have to crank the trailer and car up a good bit to get the bars on. And we have no problems.
