Just looking to see if anyone here has ever stayed at this campground before? And if so.. what was it like? We have a P'UP so we'd only be looking for the water/electric sites, and prefer a wooded campsite that has some privacy, or at least is well spaced from the neighboring sites. This campground is located in Manheim, PA.. and we'd only be looking to do an overnite (2 nites at the most) there, since we will be in the area for reasons other than camping. It will basically be just our eating and sleeping place for a nite or two.. so we don't need anything fancy, but we don't want a "parking lot" scenario or a place that is a dump either.

Any info/opinions on this place -OR- any others in that area would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

SAFE & HAPPY TRAVELS!

A friend talked me out of going there 2 years ago. He said it was kind of small and wide open. Starlite isn't too far from there and it's nice. There are a few others. Check more Pa places.

It is small open and right on the turnpike. However it's convient if your looking to go to Hershey or the Lancaster area. There are better choices.

Check rvparkreviews.com and see if they have a current review. Good source when looking at potential places to stay.

We would be in the Mount Joy and Columbia area, also the outskirts of York and then up past Marietta a bit... so something near and in that area would be great. We prefer state parks and I know Gifford Pinchot SP is there.. but I don't think it is very convienant to where we need to be. And for an overnite.. we're willing to try a nice private campground, as I know there are several in the vicinity. Just not sure which would be nice AND yet convienant to the areas we need to be in.

Thanks for the responses so far... I will keep checking!

What about Indian Rock Campground in York, PA??

Anyone ever stay there? It sounds as tho there are no firepits / fire rings at the campsites tho... is this true?? Hmmm..

In the meantime, I'll keep looking around...
