I use VROOM! That stuff makes those streaks disappear. As soon as I spray it on, it starts to dissolve.

Curious what do you use to wash the roof. I am about to wash the roof of our 5er this weekend and have read that Spic n Span works good but concerned about the run off removing the wax on the sides.

Use the same thing you use to wash the sides. Any automobile soap will do.

If it's listed in the Yellow Pages, the government shouldn't be messing around with it.

I have been curious about why I don't have any trouble getting rid of them - just wipe them off with a paper towel.

I have noticed that I can wipe them off when the TT is dry but if I try to wash them off with soap and water it appears to set them on the surface.

Mine just wash off - wet or dry. We don't have a rubber roof so the only black streaks we get come from the rubber around the window. Maybe it's not the same kind of black streak. I've never understood the black streak problem because they just wipe off so I'm thinking maybe the rubber roof creates a different kind of black streak than I have.... and me thinking it was all that work waxing it

As many others have said. Reliable works best from my experience.

I bought a used TT a few years ago that had not been used for a couple years. It had aluminum siding and the black streaks were bad!

I tried everything I had in the house, as well as some other products that were so called black streak remover and nothing really worked.
A friend gave me a bottle of Reliable and WOW! what a difference!
The streaks came off with little effort.

Last year I purchased a new 5ver with high gloss gelcoat. Black streaks are no longer a problem and wipe right off even with just a damp cloth. I wax with Nu-Finish a couple times a year which helps.

Try a bottle of Reliable. You'll be glad you did.

I am going to try a product called Rain Kap. It inserts in where the molding runs along roof and keeps rain from running down sides of RV hence no black streaks to clean. If you notice no black steaks under awning roll.

I'm considering this option also and would like to hear other's experiences with this item.

Thanks,

Larry

Also if you need to return the trailer bright you will need to pay for it to go back after paying for it to get to you so I guess your paying double shipping.

After spending the whole day getting the TT out of Storage, cleaning, waxing, and then putting on the MaxxAir and other vent covers on...
Just use some good old fashioned Wax and a wheel. I kept the wheel at the lowest speed and cruised right along. ALL the streaks came off after a winter of sitting. No big deal, just time consuming and tedious... But she looks great!
