Go to your bank and get a line of credit and it is all tax deducible.

The line of credit is usually an adjustable rate. A home equity loan can be fixed. At today's low rates, you'd be nuts not to get a fixed rate.

You can only get up to $100,000 in a home equity loan AFAIK. You could get a conventional RV loan to cover the amount over $100,000.

This assumes you have enough equity in your home to do that.

I would have to agree with USAA. They financed our last 2 coaches. Given that someone said USAA will give 5.79% I would take that number to your local credit union/bank and have them match or beat it.

Think long and hard before going upside down in your home. In todays market if an emergency occurred I would rather loose the motorhome and not my real home.

You might want to talk with all the banks in your area. We've always done that and find you can get them working against each other- at least they would four years ago. It's worth your time. We managed to haggle and ended up with 5%. Would love to trade now but know we'll never get quite that kind of rate.

They get my vote also. Anything below 6% is a 3 year ballon note. They have the best 20 year rate I can find at 6.25%.

Good luck!
