Debbie you did not say which lights are not working.
but it sounds like you mean the 12 volt lights inside the trailer?
If this is so, then spindeepster's method sounds like a good plan.
When a fuse is inserted into a fuse holder it should NOT spark
if it does then something is turned on or there is a short in the wiring.
like others have said remove all the bulbs and turn off the lights. Hopefully the lights have push button switches not the rotating kind.
Yes, it is the lights (some) in the trailer. I'm going to pull all the bulbs out and try them one by one. Hopefully I won't run out of fuses in the process! My lights have a switch that is pushed back and forth.

Instead of using fuses, and blowing them, get a volt meter. Put it across the fuse terminals and it will tell you whether you have current flowing when you shouldn't. Or a 12v test light would work too, and be simpler.

Quick update: the problem was a coroded bulb! I took all the bulbs out and put them in one at a time and the bulb with the icky stuff around the bottom was the one that was doing it. Now all the lights work again! Thank you to everyone for your help/suggestions.
