Damm, what kind of mileage does a ford get already?!?!? Since a 70% increase in fuel economy equals 70mpg....Hmmm, so the current Ford diesel is getting 49mpg!!!

So in short, the truck will get 70mpg, 700ish HP, 1200ft lb TQ, near no emissions, no moving parts, quiet.....WOW.....They could at least make the story somewhat believable!

I am waiting for a helicopter Turbo Shaft to be introduced in a truck motor. I have often tried to figure out the engineering of it. They are very strong but not very efficient in a chopper. If it was downscaled to do the work of a truck it might work out more efficiently. The biggest problem I can see is where to put the intake and exhaust. The intake has to be where it won't get any debris and the exhaust where it won't roast the road or people. It would be nearly 700 Deg C. exhaust.

Not funny at all. Man, these are desperate times. Don't be raising hope. I also questioned some parts of the article but was blinded by hope and a bit of desperation. I was ready to call in my order.

I am holding out on the new fuel efficient line from Ford. Outrageous, I tell you. I could see myself in my new F250 enjoying the space, tow, and the trip to the pump. Now, I feel like the tin man, "If I only had that Ford."
