I was looking at their web site & Maxxim tires are made in Twain. Are they better then china tires? Anyone using & have they stood up well. They are the only brand I see advertised in trailer life & good same magazine. Thanks Dan

Had a set on for over year after my Missions tires(3) blew out.
I have towed several long trips and Have enjoyed them. I had the "E" rated with 80psi installed plus had the wheels balanced also.
rides good.

one word of caution... if you LRE are installed on steel 6 bolt rims, there is a good chance the rim is only rated for a max of 75 PSI...

and you are lucky I dropped my trailer off while traveling to have LRE maxxis installed... I picked it up after closing on a Saturday...
but when I picked it up it had LRD on it... LRD's are enough but not what I wanted...

I called Monday while I was still with-in a couple hundred miles saying I wanted the E's or the old tires back on... he called back saying the E's were on back order and unavailable and the old tires were already gone... he was less that truthful... the E's were not on back order and if a mistake had been made I could have and would have waited for them... and I know the old tires were not already gone...

I just don't know how I am going to handle this forward as I am now about 1,400 miles away...

John,
Tell us where the tire dealer that installed the incorrect tires is located. Just in case.
Dan,
I've read nothing but postive things on here about Maxxis tires. I've used them on a TT and had no problems. I plan on getting a set of 10 ply rated Maxxis for my 5'er replacing the OEM Mission piece of junk tires. Gotta wait for Uncle Sam's refund check!

24K and 4 years on my 225-75-15 Maxxix Cs....last long run was 3,260 miles/50.5 hours over 3 days, LA to Montreal....still have 6/32" left (balanced when new)...never hot, never low, never a flat...I'll do another set---probably at the 6-year point.

In the process of replacing the OEM Mission 205 LR "C's" with Maxxis 225 LR "D's" on our Nash 22H. Better tire IMO and more load rating (ie , safety margin).

I usually don't use names, and have dealt there before without a problem...

he don't stock them and I was there when he ordered them... I think his supplier sent the wrong thing and maybe told him that, but I don't like being lied to... it only took me a few minuets to find out they were not back-ordered and available, so he could have also found out...

he can get them in one day and he had three weeks from the time I ordered them and the time I arranged to drop it off, so time wasn't a factor...

reluctantly I will give the name as the House of Flats in Naples FL...

the trailer came with LRD and are rated high enough to carry the full GVWR for the trailer... I just wanted a higher weight margin with the E's using 75 PSI the rating for the rims...

Our trailer needed an alignment and ate 2 tires last year, must be all that boondocking.

Maxxis ST 215/75R14, $57.72 each and I mount & balanced them at a friends shop.

I'm not sure I would buy a tire that cost any less than these did.
