does one need to install one of these covers on the vent for rain protection? Wouldn't the fact that when the fan is on exhaust and the vent is partially open rain would not enter? I can not decide if I really need one.

I have actualy had a couple cups of rain end up in the trailer from vents left inadvertently open. I love the Maxx air covers.

If the vent is open almost any amount, the rain will come in. Get the cover and never worry about it.

They are a great invention! DW and I spend a weekend in the pouring rain, and the vents allowed the moisture to escape, but kept the unit dry. It's the first or second mod that I plan to do on my new unit (not sure if I will do that before or after the Tornado flush!).

Also, they are great for driving down the road. Don't have to worry about closing your vents and having them get blown away after a few hundred miles.

I have 2 on my unit and it's made a nice difference in keeping the unit cool. Also no leaks, these things work great.

I have 3 on my trailer. Great when it is raining. Nothing comes in and moisture still vents out. Keep your vents open while driving down road, and helps keep unit cooler in summer.

I have two Maxx Airs on my class C and four Aero-Flow vent covers on my trailer. It was the first mod made to the trailer!

We have 3 of the regular maxair vents and I just installed the special one for the fantastic fan. Now I can have the fan on in the rain and not have it close on me by way of the rain sensor. Sometimes you need the extra air flow. By the way at the rally in Perry GA. Fantastic fan had a big sign up that read "Fantastic fan does not recommend any covers for our fans" The special cover is very well designed and works great.
