For buffet Original Benjamin's is very hard to beat. To order from the menu Drunken Jack's can't be beat, IMO. Both are a little pricey but since it's only while we're on vacation, we splurge.
Sara J's in Garden City is very good and less pricey but still not DJ's equal, once again IMO.
I have heard very good things about Lee's Kitchen in Murrell's Inlet but haven't tried it myself.
Driving to Calabash is okay, but not worth the trip if your in the southern part of the Grand Strand.

I agree!!
Most of the buffet places in that area have food that has been cooked for a while and just isn't that good. Had dinner in Murrells Inlet the last time there and got talked into a buffet there. I forget the name of the place. Captain D's would have been better and much fresher. I
We are at Myrtle Beach Travel Park now. The Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood has an awesome buffet with the best crab legs I've ever eaten. I think it was $26.95 but look in the coupon books for a $4 off coupon. Excellent service also. Last night we tried Gulfstream Cafe in Murrell's Inlet. Get there before 5:30pm for the early bird specials. I had fried shrimp & oysters, baked potato, salad, and drink for $10.95. Great food, great price, wonderful view!!!! We also tried Nances at Murrells Inlet. Excellent food there too. They, too, have early bird specials from 4 til 5 - buy one get one 1/2 price entrees. Enjoy.
