We have bashed some basement doors and want to replace them. They are somehow hinged to a rail along the side of the coach. Can anyone tell me how to open that rail?

Actually, if they're like my Jayco 5er, its a piano hinge, and you may be able to drive the hinge pin out...maybe?

I have the 35GS and the doors are held in place by pop-rivets. I believe there are 5 or 6. You merely drill out the existing rivets and replace the door. It will just drop out of the hinge. then align the new door so that the holes line up and replace the pop-rivets with the same size as has been removed and you're good to go.

I haven't been able to figure out how to get the door off my Jayco GR either. I thought that it "unhooked" with some kind of C-channel type of material. But, so far, nop luck.

I will look for pop rivets. Thanks!

An alternative to pop-rivets are nuts, bolts, and washers. Just be sure to use the nuts with the self locking plastic or Teflon inserts. They won't come loose regardless of how tight or loose the nut and bolt are in relation to each other. This way you can make it as tight as needed without distorting the door from over-tightening. I would also go 100% stainless to prevent rust streaking. These items can all be purchased at any hardware store or home improvement center.

This all assuming you have clearence for a protruding nut.
