Any recommendations as to what beach we should go visit.... our kids have never seen the pacific. Also, about how long a trip from Disney to the beaches with traffic and would there be anyplace to park our rig?

Thanks!

Thanks for everyones input, we stayed at Anaheim RV Village (used to be travellers) on Ball Rd, and loved it. Kids loved it. In laws loved it. Close to Disney, fireworks were really great from the back of our trailer...clean place, good facilities...it was super!

Stayed at Orangeland in 2004 and it was very nice. Felt safe and it was very clean. Huntington beach is a short drive (maybe 1/2 hour as I recall) from Disneyland and is a long beach, about 14 miles long if I remember right. Big pier in the middle with some shops. Would of course go to Disneyland and maybe CA Adventure. Had wanted to go to 6 Flags until I read this thread. Bummer.

Parking your RV at Huntington beach is no problem on any day I have been there, but I suppose could be on a hot summer day. There is an RV park so to speak at Huntington beach. It is nothing more than a parking lot with hookups, but it is right on the beach. Have a blast. We flew there last fall and my kids (9,6,3) loved Sea World as well.

We stayed at the Anaheim RV Village for 8 nights in March. It was a great location for us. We watched the fireworks from our site every night. We walked to the maingate once. Our kids are 5 and 2 1/2 and it was a bit much with all of the Disney walking on top of that. The shuttle is not free and we just drove to the park. It was great. They have a nice pool and small arcade and laundry. It was clean. If we go back to DL we will stay there again.

A couple years ago we stayed at the Anaheim RV Resort and they had a free shuttle. It was pretty busy there so I liked RV Village a bit better as it was quieter.
