Hi. My husband and I have been full timing now for almost a year and we are feeling like it is time to get into the work camping end of things.

I have created an online resume site for those with opportunites to review and contact us from at Ourroad .

We are hoping to head west from here. We are currently in Georgia. We will consider anything between Georgia to California but please not too far north. We left Maine because we are tired of cold weather.

I don't think that you will find that employers are going to hunt you up. You will need to do more than that to find any position that is worth having. I suggest that you get a subscription to Workamper News or some similar service and make an effort to contact the employers that interest you. There is not nearly enough demand for them to come looking for you.

We are in Galveston Island, Tx right now and I think we are about to take our first work camp job. They are needing people right away down here at the state park. This is a very nice place right on the beach. We are supposed to meet with the supervisor this afternoon. My understanding is that we have the position if we want it. Wish us luck. This will be a new experience for us new full timers.

Good luck - that is an area high on our priority list once DW quits working in 2 more years.

DW and I drive till we find a place we like than find a campground ask for a job, find out what they expect, tell them what we will do (cleaning)and either go to work or go down the road, works for us might not for you.

If you are in good health and like to work outdoors try

http://www.southerncrosscorp.com

They are looking for travelers to do gas line survey. I just started with them and am currently working in Greeley Colorado on a 3-4 month job. If you want more info PM me.
