My wife and I are thinking of getting into RVing and buying a Rockwood 8313SS or Flagstaff 831KRSS (I think they're identical).
Forest River's online literature states that their length is 33 ft, but I have no idea if that number is accurate, or if it's just some nominal size. Can anyone provide me with the exact measured total length of the unit, from the ball to the very back of the trailer?
I would have emailed Forest River, but I searched their website and could not find any sign of their email address. (Does anyone know what it is?)

RVW is selling the 8313SS for $21,681.78, they have (3) three is stock
A least you can compare to your dealer...

Why would you care about 'exact length'? If you like it, buy it...

On both my Rockwoods the 'posted' length on thier website was very close to actual.

I don't have e-mail address but I have found Some manufactures say 31 feet and mean the inside dimensions, with the trailer being about 3 feet longer when you count the tongue.
Others say just the opposite.
I think some want theirs to sound longer and others want theirs to sound shorter.
I have taken a 50' tape with me and measured some when I was looking to buy.
Like you I did care how long the trailer was.
it's a personel thing I don't need or want a 35 footer.

Just a thought... but it may be to make sure that there is room to park it in the yard.
I know I had to consider the lenght of the trailer to make sure it would sit in my driveway and not block the sidewalk constantly..

Thanks to all, yes, it's mostly to do with parking and storage questions, but also, Maryland road regulations appear to specify 55' max combined length (according to data presented on Woodalls website) and I'm wondering how I'll compare to that when I add my tow vehicle (which I haven't bought yet either, but my candidates are pretty long)

I can tell you my Rockwood 8315SS, which is built on the same platform as the 8313SS is exactly 33 feet from the tip of the tongue to the end of the bumper. The spare tire and ladder do extend beyond the 33 feet.

Just an FYI, my Dodge quad cab long box truck is 21 feet long, hitch is about 6 inches from the bumper and the spare tire sticks out about 6 inches. I would be about 55 feet running down the road.

It still says your 8317 is on order. Didn't come in yet? Got mine 2 weeks ago.
