We just bought a 2009 Wildcat 31THSB by Forest River a few days ago. Let me say first that it is beautiful inside. Really like the celing fan and the added wood deco. The toy hauler with a side door was what sold us on it. But, we are having problems and noticed the quality is not what we thought we were buying. The next day after bringing it home we woke to find a flat tire. We have now found other forums stating the rubber valve stems can be a problem. Another issue is the Concertone surround system. We can't get it to work properly. We have never had any problems setting up electronic equipment and can't get this one figured out. Again, checking other forums we have found others complaing about how they are having all sorts of problems with the Concertone system. Also,green wood was used on the kichen counter trim. I don't feel this rv will hold up to our full time rving but we are going to need to hang onto it for a year or so before selling.
I have to agree that Wildcats are not really made for full time. Not to say you can't make it work but I think you would be wise to look over the 5th wheel really well and make sure the dealer fixes everything correct. As far as the radio/etc unit. I have heard of them being bad or just a bad connection to the unit.
We have had our Cat for over 3 years and it serves us well. Modifications here or there and back to the Dealer ever other year for service. I just wish we had more time to use it.
