Hi all, I'm totally new here. I browsed around and did enough research to know that I want a Barker power jack. I'm want to order this for my husband's birthday, and I really hope he doesn't see my post on here! I'm thinking the Barker 3500, but can someone tell me if that's right for our trailer? We have a Hideout by Hornet 29BHS. Thanks, I'm totally clueless! Also, most of the ones I looked at online were like $300, but saw some brand new ones on ebay for $180. Can that be right??

Thanks in advance for all the help!

My BarkerVIP3500 cost $214.38 delivered from RADAUTO on e-bay, however some say they found them for around $180.00. Whatever you pay he will give you a Big kiss I bet.

IMO an electric tongue jack is the best option we bought!

E-bay is fine. They are really $210 with shipping.

Yes, go with the 3500. Its great for lifting the TT and TV to hook and unhook the hitch bars. I got an Atwood 3500 from eBay for about the same price and the RV stores wanted a lot more.

fishgirl1976,
Here is a link for an ebay dealer that is great to work with and good prices too!
I have bought from them several times and have had good luck...and NO I am NOT affiliated with this dealer. I just want you to be happy with whatever you buy! http://cgi.ebay.com/VIP-3500-Barker-Electric-Power-Tongue-Jack-RV-Trailer_W0QQitemZ300216365894QQihZ020QQcategoryZ50072QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Yes ma'am, mine is this Friday... I'd definitely love one!

I plan on getting one as soon as I get all the other "stuff" that is required to buy when getting a TT.

I just ordered my Barker jack from the Manufacturer. I got the "High Power 3000" Jack. As a side note, the VIP models DO NOT have the limit switch to keep them from going past the end gear limit. One reason for the lower price. The High Power models have that switch. I read that on another board, so I "googled" Barker tounge jacks and found their web site and phone number. You can buy direct from them and I had mine in 3 days. I only paid $185 for it plus $20 shipping.
