Can anyone tell me how I could come up with an Owners Manuel for a 1998 Itasca. I have tryed looking on the internet but without any luck. I was wanting to know how many quarts of oil I will need for my next oil change on a Ford 460 engine.

Just look up the engine oil capacity by using the truck chassis as it's description. I'd guess it is either 5, 7, or 8 quarts. If you can't look it up drain the oil, change the filter, put in 4.5 quarts, read the dipstick and then add half a quart at a time til you get to almost full on the dipstick. Then run the engine for a few seconds and watch for leaks. Turn it off, check level again and top it up. You probably already know this, but be extremely careful not to over fill the crankcase. Overfills can cause main seal leaks and other problems.

Can't you just call a local Ford dealer and ask somebody in the service department?

You can get a chassis service manual from www.helminc.com.

Go to the "TECH ISSUES" forum, and ask, I am sure that the Ford people will help. My Chevy takes 7 qts. with filter.
