no problems here. most likely its your computers that are bogged down with spyware and junk. especially if you are an aol user.

That has nothing to do with it.

I have not been notified as to the cause yet.
It appears it was in all the portals.

Considering the amount of "traffic" this forum gets I'm not surprised. Between looky loos and posters their server is getting a pretty good workout.
There are plenty of other forums out there that get 10x the amount of traffic and posts, yet experience very little downtime. It all boils down to lack of competition. If there was another RV forum out there with similar stats as this forum has, then you bet your butt the forum owners here would do something about the regular downtime. But as it is, the members just put up with it. So what motivation do the owners have to improve their product? Absolutely none whatsoever.

This forum is a plethora of information. The members are great and are willing to help anyone out with what they can. It's a forum owner's dream to have such a great member base. It's just a shame they don't return the favor. After all, what kind of a forum do you have if/when the members leave?

Tonight I was unable to even log into RV.Net, but was able to get on through the Good Sam portal. Go figure?? It is extremely frustrating to get on, only to have the system lock up after one or two posts, or reading message strings. A couple of nights ago I was on and the system got so bad it wouldn't even let me log off

I NEVER have any trouble whatsoever. Always on in seconds, back and forth, everywhere on the site. It's a great site. Do you guys have dial up? Maybe that's the problem. We use Verizon Broadband here. Maybe your computers are the problem although ours are two and four years old. Is your router a good one? We had a lot of trouble with the Westell router.

I think most of us are savy enough to know if it is this site or a connection issue.
The problem is this site. I'm glad for you that you have never had a problem but I can say that I have several times. Yes it is only this site not anywhere else on the net!

I think foldowncandy should get a gold star or something.I am quiet computer savvy and i am constantly having trouble with the sight on broadband cable. But i keep coming back because for the most part i enjoy the site.

Sorry to have made you mad - I was hoping to help someone who was floundering. Still curious....you can't tell me why I have absolutely never ever had a problem with the site?
