Be sure to have new tires and a spare.

Axle bearings freshly and properly greased.

Have a camp break down check list to make sure you have everything done before you head down the road. Check air pressure every morning.

Check the bearing and tire heat at every stop.

Very good advice. Based on what I've seen over the years with boat trailers and small camping trailers, I would also urge you to have more than one spare wheel and tire plus 2 sets of spare bearings.

Happy trails.

Buy gas and propane at every opportunity. We came up in late May, early June. Lots of places NOT open then. So take every opportunity to purchase gas and propane to keep her topped off. Enjoy the trip!

flylipsdaddy,

Yes, there are locations between Whitehorse and Tok that have gas. You just don't want to buy any more than you have to at Canadian prices. There is gas at Haines Junction, at Beaver Creek, and Border City at least. Probably some others. Check your Milepost, It probably will list others.

The Yukon Motel at Teslin, south of Whitehorse will give you a discount on fuel if you ask. It will be about the same in Whitehorse if prices are the same this year as last. They will give you a business card which will give you the name of a station in Haines Junction that will give the discount also.
