I don't know about the rest of you but I am fed up with the poor coverage and brightness of the headlights on my Dodge. I have put up with them for six years but no more. I ordered a set with the ballasts and relays and will post a review once I get them going. I saw these while down in the desert this winter and was impressed with the improvement on a friends truck.

The final straw was a few weeks ago when I was driving a very dark and twisty mountain road and my old eyes could not see well enough to continue, I parked it and finished the last 20 miles in daylight.

You could have probably upgraded with just changing to a higher output halogen bulb. Cheaper in my estimation. JMHO. I put on a pair of remote controlled 100W driving lights mounted on my "moose catcher"

On my Chev, I was able to buy a system that turns on all four head light at the sametime. I don't know if it is available for Dodges or not. It is a very simple installation cost about $40 bucks.

The only problem I see with this is MY old eyes when I face one of the HID Ballast cars coming at me. I hope you plan to aim them properly with the TC on, so they are not aimed right at the oncoming car's eyes, as they would be if aimed with TC off.

I am fed up with being blinded by oncomming HID headlights. Even if they are aimed correctly, if you meet them on a curve or comming over a hill they are totally blinding. The "experts" at DOT had their head in the sand when they approved them.

I agree that in stock form the Dodge headlights leave much to be desired...

After looking at the options to upgrade mine, and seriously considering an HID system...I chose to go with a Brite Box made by INNOVA and Sylvania Silverstar (9007 & 9005) bulbs. This system allows the low beams AND the fog lights to stay on when the hi beams are selected. It is a dramatic improvement over the stock lighting system!

Note that the 9005 fog lamps are brighter than the stock 9006's and require their "bulbzilla" kit.

Cheers

Well, I must not be that discerning. I haven't noticed a problem; however, I do have my fog lights to help out in a pinch... I'll still be interested in your evaluation of the new headlights.

I did the same 'all on mod' to mine, cost......$1.00. BIG difference.
p.s. Don't waste money on Sylvania Ultrastars.

I bought the kit too, the OEM setup left a dark spot in front of the truck when the high-beams were on, the kit fixed that.
