Wxguru, I'm not sure I understand what you are doing. But, if you are raising the front (main) jack and leaving the front of the trailer supported only by the side stabilizing jacks, that may not be good for your unit. The front of the trailer should be supported by either the front jack or by the tongue hitch on a ball. The side jacks are for stabilizing only and should not support the whole weight of the trailer. No?

question, when stored on a slope and the nose is lowered to semi level,is undue stress put on the high side axle? the front springs would be compressed and the rears extended somewhat, therefore more weight on the front axle. I wouldnt think this would be an issue, but I read that you shouldnt level by pushing one wheel of a tandem on to a block and leave the other on the ground? Thoughts?

No worries Airstreamer67. I know better than to have all the weight on the jackstands. It is on the tongue jack, and I have the jackstands down just enough to stabilize it and keep if from rocking when I am walking through it....and for those very windy days.

JJBIRISH,

I actually tried, but the problem is that when the TT is hitched onto my TV, it is too high for the tongue jack to reach the 2x6 - I originally started with a 6x6, and a 4x6 was the shortest I could get, and at that the tongue jack has to go all the way up to get off the TV...
