We are considering puchasing a rockwood 1808 mini lite by forest river. We would be towing with an f-150 ford truck. Has anyone with this model travel trailer had any problems towing? Also, any problems with the quality of this trailer?

It is best to refer your truck to the the Ford Truck Towing Guide that you should be able to find online with any search engine. If you tell us the year, engine, body style(Extended cab, longbed), and the rear differential gear ration, some of the members here may be able to tell you from their experiences. Some of this information should also be listed on a name plate or decal inside the driver side door jamb on most Ford Trucks. Also, the weight of the trailer can be found in the same fashion also. Good Luck

We had a Rockwood 8314ss which is bigger and I pulled with a 04 F-150. It did just fine. You will have no problem pulling that. We traded in our Rockwood after 1 season for a Jayco. We had a lot of problems with the Rockwood. That does not mean they are all bad though. It is all what you like.

Isn't the 1808 only 18' with a GVWR of about 4600 lbs or so? I would think the F-150 should tow close 29" and 10,000 lbs with all the tow goodies.....you should be in fine shape.

Yes you will need to know what motor, and rear gear you have. If it is a V6. you may not be able to tow it.

True,
but if he has a 2002 V6 with the 3.08 rear axle
he will only be able to tow no more than
2,000 pounds...
