That sort of depends on the AC size. 9,000 BTU ACs and most 11,000 BTU ACs run just fine on one eu2000i.

If you look at the ad the bottom 1/3 shows 2 in Parallel and a discount on the kit. I personnel know that at the Camping World store here in MI they tell people that one 2000 may not start the A/C and is over loaded running an A/C for long periods of time. Start load versa running load.
The problem is no one just runs the A/C alone. You have a converter and possibly an inverter that is on when plugged into the power cord. Most converters with chargers can pull up to 1000 watts so there goes over half of the available watts.

Doh! I read that completely wrong - sorry.

It's only correct from a marketing perspecive in that they can print it without legal recourse because there is at least one manufacture of an A/C that falls within those specs and will work according to advertized. Yes there are laws about truth in advertising so yes what's printed is true BUT to say that any particular generator will run ALL 13.5 BTU A/C units isn't correct. With the specs the add says then yes it will work. Mine works just fine with fridge on propane and the battery charging turned off. I also posted in another thread about the newer Coleman A/C units that are up to 3-4amps less in electrical usage than "older" models.
Funny I saw the same ad after I started my other thread and was waiting to see if someone would make a blanket statement.

One thing about running right close to the edge
In another thread we were discussion how to tell if a sealed air conditioner was low on freon... Turns out you measure temperature, humidity and current while it's running.
As the outside temperature goes up... So does the current (and thus wattage) so if you are running "on the edge" when you need it the most (100+) it may well fail.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business
