I am camping and today developed a strange noise while plugged into shore power. About every 20- 30 minutes I hear a click, then a short hum then a click again. I tried to isolate the issue with no luck. It almost sounds like it is coming from below the bathroom. The A/C's are off. I tried both electric and propane for the fridge and it did not make a difference. The water pump is off but I am wondering if it is having an issue.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sounds like your inverter is clicking on for some reason. They certainly hum when running. The click is probably a relay.

If you have an inverter/charger, it could be that your batteries are nearly fully charged now while you are plugged into shore power. The charger clicks on to charge, then clicks off?
Try opening the outside bay where your charger is and listen there to see if that is where the noise is coming from.

I also had a click and hum from my inverter. I reset the circuit breaker and solved the initial problem... The clicking returned and service replaced the inverter control board.

Click-hum-click is the typical sound of an automatic thermal overload protection circuit breaker. For example, if an electric motor is stuck it draws very high current (hums). In a few seconds the breaker heats up and trips (click). 20-30 min later, the breaker cools off enough to reset (click), and the cycle starts again.
Just a thought, do you have an electric slide near the noise?

If you know where your converter is then check that. Some of the converters are located below the refrigerator and are mounted upside down so you dont see them. The fan goes on periodically when its charging the batteries. Maybe you have some really bad batteries that dont hold a charge? A lot of RVers seldom here the converter fan because they are mounted outside the living area.

I don't think a LaPalma has a converter.

Another converter vote. Mine runs fairly often when hooked up to 120, even if only a few 12v. items are running. Don't know if that's good or bad, but its done it ever since I've had the coach. As I recall my old Flair did the same thing.
