On My 2002 Dolphin, the click and hum is coming from the refrigerator periodically. Listen closely to the refrigerator and I think you will find the source of the noise.
Try turning off your water pump. If the noise goes away you have a small leak. The pump will cycle on for one pump (click) to bring the pressure back up.
Our pressure reducer at the fresh water fill had a small seam leak that I fixed with plumbers putty.

This winter, I had a relay go bad on our coach, and it was making the same sounds as yours. It would make a LOUD click, and hummmm. The relay was hooked to the inverter.
BTW, a previous poster said that a La Palma didn't have a converter, I'll bet it does UNLESS it has an inverter. Are inverters standard on La Palma's?

I have a HOLIDAY RAMBLER and it has what they call a BIRD it is a box that controls the charging of the battery's and from what source,It has a large relay that will thump when the battery's are close to full charge when you are plugged in to shore power.
My first thought, I've heard a similar clicking noise from my RV. Took quite a while to track it down to the Intellitec battery control center. Relays pull in at different times to determine whether to supply a charge to the house batteries or chassis battery. The hum, possibly caused by the additional load on the converter while charging the batteries. You could try checking the battery voltage to see whether it is jumping up, indicating charging, or dropping off, indicating a load. As stated in a previous post, a thermal breaker kicking out could produce a similar noise. Good luck...keep us posted if you learn anything new.
