We are supposed to have the highest prices in the US. From these posts, I think they are right:
$3.79 for Unleaded 87 this AM. Last Saturday I filled up the 'Burb for $127.00, the most I've ever spent on a tank of gas.
Lucky for me, the gas station is located 3 miles from my house on my way to the train station for my daily commute. I drive an 8-mile round trip during the weekdays.
The trains are packed full during commute hours. People that used to drive into San Francisco are now taking the train instead.
We are planning our RV trips within a 100-mile radius from home to save $$.
Lucky for us, we can go to the ocean, or a lake, or the redwoods within that 100 miles. No 2,000 mile trips this year.

3.47 a gallon today But in New York we arent sure if its tax or gas going up. But its crazy. How do people who make min wage get to work. New York is a deadzone as far as jobs most are low paying. But anyway I say over $4 per gallon. I just wonder when people will boycot But they have us we cant get by without it.

$3.57 here for regular and $4.09 for diesel... When we were in Hawaii 2 weeks ago it was $3.91 to $4.05 per gallon for regular...
Joe - "foofoo coffee" (heh-heh) Well, we'll still be camping at least locally and 2 rallies we have planned, but it isn't going to be cheap...
If this keeps up, I may sell the trailer and buy another MC camper and camp off the bike again, or maybe put the TT on a seasonal place although that's not cheap either...
It will be at LEAST $4.00 a gallon here, maybe more and the cost of everything here is going through the roof... We're already in a resession and if it really gets bad you may even see another depression like in the 30's and that won't be pretty!!!

$4 a gallon. $4.50 in California. $5 for diesel. A LOT of RVers are going to be VERY unhappy.
Now add in the newly discovered North Dakota oil fields - and the discovery in 1999 of a huge new Alaska reserve and you wonder who is really getting screwed. Bush's oil buddies? Nope. Record profits year after year after year while our Government does nothing. Hmmm. WE are getting screwed. Get it? Hang on. It could get really ugly for many hard working stiffs. . . and more so for us retired folks.
