Drummer Boy Camping Resort
http://www.drummerboycaming.com/

IMO; KOA, Round Top and Artillery ridge sites tend to be very tight. Enjoy Gettysburg.

For eats try the Dobbin House Tavern and Farnsworth House Inn.

we used to go to Drummer boy alot. We have reservations in July and the site charge for a full hookup is $60. They do not charge per person, which is good, so that price is good if you have 2 children or 10 children. My main complaint is that in the summer they do not except any type of discount, such as Good sam or anything else. My in-laws were planning on going with us (they have their own camper), but they don't even give the senior discount in the summer either. the price isn't really fair for them since they obviously are not bringing any children.

i would be curious to know what the opinion is about the no discount in the summer. we camp alot and i have never come across this before. I understand the holiday rule of no discounts.

My opinion of the "no discounts" is that they don't need to honor discounts to fill the place up from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

I asked about renting a golf cart the other day at Drummer Boy - $58 for 24 hours. I didn't want to buy it, just rent it...

We camped at Jellystone Hagerstown this past weekend and we rented a golf cart for the day of Saturday and it was $55. i guess that is about the going rate. i have to say though it was worth it. It kept our 7 year old busy. When we were not riding around in it, he played in it at the site.

Another thing i just found out about Drummer boy is that it costs to use the waterslide. it costs $10 per person, which includes the golf course. So we are paying $60 a night and then on saturday we will pay the $30 for our kids to use the waterslide! That seems a bit outrageous to me. i know that Jellystone in Hagerstown has raised their prices to for summer since they have added all the new water stuff. Everyone wants to make money.....
