Keep on trucking, Jay! Looking forward to the stories in the fall. Wait... did I really say that??? All this baseball stuff must be making me delirious!
Well I attempted to post the other day and for some reason, my post didn't get posted ?
We left the Central valley of Caliornia just about a week ago, headed over to the Hearst Castle and spent the day touring the park, certainly one of California's best treasures. From there we navigated up the PCH (Rte-1)towards Monteray, the road was a challenge with the TT as other's mentioned, but the views were worth the effort, Spectacular is the only word to describe it!
We spent a night at Laguna Seca Park, right at the track! Nice campground with views overlooking the track. Next morning we took in the Pebble Beach 17 mile tour with the TT in tow, stopped at the golf course and walked onto the 1st green, I knew I was on hollwed ground and I'm not a golfer! lol . Got a picture with my son's putter so when I retire I can hang around the local country club and talk about all the courses I've toured, I think that's what professional golfers call their season, "the tour", lol.
From Pebble beach we headed up to San Francisco, got the 'free" ride going north across the Golden Gate with the TT, we put up at the Navato RV Resort for a couple of nights while we toured the Bay area. We did Fisherman's Wharf, a Bay Cruise, Ghiredelli Square, Giants Stadium, Cable Car ride, Knob Hill, and of course we drove down the crookedest street, and no not with the TT behind, lol.
After San Fran we headed into Wine Country, Sonoma and Napa, took in a Vineyard and then to Infineon Raceway for a quick photo stop. We departed and headed to Donner Pass in the Sierra Nevada's, wow what beauty and high too! We seemed like we would never stop climbing, was so bad there was a large MH that burn't to the rims , too much strain I guess? The Dodge Cummins pulled like a Clydesdale and the Jake Brake was on overtime coming back down on the other side of the mountains, never once touched the brake pedal! Once we arrived in Nevada and things leveled out one of our TT tires decided to blow while the wife was driving, on I80 which is a heavily traveled truck route out in the middle of no man's land! We swapped the spare in a matter of 20 minutes and backout on the road, 200 + miles searching for a new tire, no luck , grabbed a used car tire at the Bonneville salt flats and limped into Salt Lake.
Upon arrival at Salt Lake KOA we ate and just put up for the night, the next day we were on a mission for a set of new tires. After a few phone calls we hit the jackpot, four new tires and a extra rim,now we have two spares. We spent the day sight seeing and taking care of errands, nails, hair cuts laundry then the tires at the 3 o'clock appointment. The tire dealer was great, in and out in less than an hour! Just like a Nascar pit stop, lol.
So that brings us to today, we're doing a deep cleaning of the trailer this morning then heading up to Jackson Hole WY for the Grand Teyton NP, still well on schedule and looking forward o the next stop on our route.

Hi All !
Well it's been a while since my last post, so here's a quick update.
We have visited Gran Teton NP, Yellowstone, NP, Sturgis SD, Mt Rushore, Crazy Horse and we just arrived at Cedar Point in Sandusky OH. We are staying two nights here at the KOA, and plan on being home sometime this weekend. 9200 miles so far!
We have so many photo's that I'm going to put a online album together when we get home. Most of the sights can not be descibed, only a photo can show the natural beauty of the national parks.
