I was looking at this one:

http://mitchellinstrument.com/product/pen-style-infrared-thermometer.html

Does anyone have one and if so, is it any good?

Seems like a great price and a nice size!

Haven't seen that one but for the same money, give or take, Radio Shack makes one that most are using. I started using one about 5 years ago and had to spend $80 for mine. For tire checking etc, accuracy isn't critical.

Good to know! Is that in the store or did you see it on the site?

I have a Raytec infared themo - I use it to check for heat loss around the house , wood stove temperatures, flue temp , tire temps , rear end , bearings , tranny temps . Measure before you leave and at your first stop . If one tire is weird then look into it , might need air. I got mine of of ebay brand new for 40 bucks . I use one at work just like the one I purchased. Open the oven check the bird .

I have the one that Camping World sells, it's a Micro Temp. Much more expensive, but it works great. I bought it on sale for about $45. I really didn't shop around and the cheaper ones are probably just as good or better.

Micro Temp Infrared Thermometer.

I would consider getting one is a greater than 1:1 spot ratio so you do not have to get down on your knees to make sure you are just reading the tire.
