Has anyone had experience towing a Subaru Baja or Subaru Forester with 4 wheels down? Thanks for any information.

2008 tow guide lists the Forester 2.5X automatic as UNtowable. Okay for the standard. You didn't state which year you needed info for.

I've towed my 03 Forester all over the western US. I would guess more than 20,000 miles and it is a great little car. Of course it is a manual transmission.

Generally speaking, the only Subarus that are flat towable are the manual transmission vehicles. As far as I know, NONE of the automatic transmission vehicles are flat towable. No Subaru can be dolly towed, AFAIK.
There are always exceptions to every generalization. Check the Owner's Manual for definitive information.
