on jan 26 08, there was a miss america held in las vegas when we were there and miss mich. won. now i see there was another miss america last night which i thougt was a rerun but now they said miss tx. won. whats up, are there 2 now or something else going on?

Last night was Miss USA, not Miss America. The winner competes in the Miss Universe contest.

If you saw this, do you know how the girl with cerebral palsy came out? I think she was Miss Indiana or Miss Iowa...and she was lovely. Her goal was to place in the top 15, I think......

The rights to the 'Miss World' competition are held by a British company. Not wanting to be left out of something as important as this, (Yes, I am kidding!) an American company started the 'Miss Universe' competition.
It's about as ridiculous as the 'World' Series!

there's several, there is also miss teen America and miss black America
if there's a couple of hours to fill on a tv station they'll come up with a pageant!
