Microsoft has admitted to creating problems with various programs with SP1 for Vista. There is in fact a list on their web site. Programs that will not run or will be shut down with installation of SP1. The list is growing. I personally have not had a problem other than Vista itself. In my opinion it is not near as stable as XP. I run into glitches every day.

Had the same problem with Quickbooks loading. Took me about 4 hours to try the fixes that quickbooks suggested until I found the solution. The update corrupted the framework.net file. I had to download a program to delete the old framework.net files (couldn't do it with MS XP) then reload it. Now it works fine.

Mrs Mlk, please don't be discouraged by a few people who feel the need to be critical. This is a very large forum with many, many posters, with many different points of view.

For one, I'd like to thank you for your warning. Please continue to contribute.

Mrs Mik: I assume that your last response was for my post. I have reread my post 3 times now and I still don't see where it flamed you. But as you felt it did, I apologize.
